Xerox has claimed to develop a new kind of business paper that is optimized for digital printing. This paper is lighter and hence saves some of your hard earned money you would have spent mailing it.
The best feature of this paper is that is uses half as many trees as conventional high yield paper. The secret behind this amazing paper is the use of mechanical processes that uses less water and chemicals and hence reduces the amount of harmful greenhouse gases emitted by up to 75% in the manufacture process.
This paper finally turns out to be greener than the paper usually used with digital printers. Developed by hydroelectricity, this paper also promises a reduction in fossil fuel usage.
Xerox High Yield Business Paper is a mechanical fiber paper that overcomes operational problems, such as curling and dust, which until now prevented mechanical fiber papers from being used with digital printers.
This paper also serves an added benefit, being lighter than conventional high yield paper, it saves money that you would have spent on mailing documents. Xerox claims that a printer who used a carton of the new paper to print and mail 1,000 5-sheet document sets would save $80 in mailing costs. Considering these benefits, I don’t think price can ever be a problem.
