Crazy things happen in this crazy world ! This time Canadian firm Schulte has earned first position for it’s crazily mammoth creation, touted as the world’s biggest rotary mower among mower class items, its new 12.8m wide FX742 rotary cutter with its seven rotors, nine drivelines and 10 gearboxes put it at the pinnacle.
A 3m transport width and 4.2m transport height after folding the wings needs 250hp or more of tractor power to pull this giant mower at a typical 7-10mph speed. After their appearance in North American and Australian farms, it may haunt some big UK arable farms to cut down stubbles ahead of direct drilling work.
