Technology isn’t often served in soft, cozy platters. There are possibilities though, and Paro the harp seal stuffed animal robot is one such package. The interactive healing pet with therapeutic possibilities is in for a migration from homeland Japan for a noble cause over to Denmark. Through an agreement Denmark will be lifting 1,000 Paro seal robots (developed by Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)), for the use in health care facilities back home. Many counties around the globe have the “world’s most therapeutic robot” calming the nerves and healing the brains of their patients. Let’s hope the emotional, soft and lifelike robot Paro lives to the claims that its maker’s make and what it has lived up to over the years since its unveiling, when it reaches Denmark by 2011.
