Wireless Input Pen: 'Building castles in air' now a reality!
Siddhesh | Jun 11 2008

It seems ‘building castles in air’ won’t be a synonym to a faker anymore! Thanks to the new techno innovation by SMK Corp, the Wireless Input Pen can allow the ‘writer’ to literally wave their hands into the air to gesture the desired letters as they appear on PC screen. The triaxial acceleration sensor in the pen has been designed to record spatial patterns of hand gestures which it tallies with the ‘letter database’ in it’s memory. The airborne letters are then transmitted to the computer using Bluetooth to appear on the screen. The pen can work fine till upto 10 meters from the nearest computer. This splendid gizmo is certainly gonna be used in many applications as it will considerably lower writing time and efforts. This could also be used as an effortless communication device for the impaired.

It is cool if I could use it as a mouse with my HTPC. I think, it isn’t exactly the ”first” wireless input pen, maybe the first one that can only be used a pen.
