
Bid adieu to all those fanciest of consoles, keyboards and remote controls you’ve been using to control robots around the house or elsewhere. The new way to control a robot is here, and it is result of a tweak to the iPod/iPhone interface. Here, using an iPod and mere finger gestures over its UI a bipedal humanoid robot can be controlled. Mere finger movement can guide the bot to walk, jump, turn either side and even to kick a football. The Walky as the opertating method is called has been demonstrated on a robot, and you can see that in the video below.
