Jaiyant Cavale | Jul 30 2008

Samsung Design China has launched a concept digital camera called the Touch Sight for the visually impaired and uses Braille instead of an LCD display. The user can record a 3 second sound description for every picture, which can be later, used for managing the pictures. Users with the same digital camera can upload and download images and in turn share them with friends and families. The technology that might be used in Touch Sight could be the one used in Siafu PC. It can be controlled by visually impaired people and is based on magneclay concept material. Magneclay can morph into any shape and displays landscapes in 3D reliefs. While it responds to electric and magnetic charges, it also makes use of an oil based synthetic agent with morphing capabilities. Now it depend how the visually impaired people take the Touch Sight, and if they find the product useful, it has to be one of the most useful products till date.
