Tokyo in peril, monster praying Mantis Robot on the prowl
Vikas Shekhawat | Jul 23 2006

Where medical scientists are busy cloning different species, robotics, apparently, is ready to rout everything else with its mechanical clones. After encountering mating robots, this giant praying mantis robot, on display at Marunouchi square in Tokyo, would perhaps not surprise you. However, keeping in mind that the female mantis eats the male after mating, the 5.4-metre long monster does chill our spine. Anyway, in the dearth of accurate information regarding the mantis robot, we can just speculate and prophesize what these terminators could actually achieve if instilled with life.

However, it looks real, isn’t it?
