Tiny Waterbuoy: Intelligent water flotation miniature device
Madan | Nov 26 2007

Have you ever lost anything after it skipped from your hands into water while on boating or any other occasion near water? However, now Waterbuoy, a tiny device containing a miniature gas tank with a trigger mechanism, a balloon and a light for dark hours, may soon accompany your valuable belongings. Waterbuoy automatically inflates the balloon using gas and pulls the attached body up to the surface as soon as it is touched by water. Even if the mishap takes place at night, an integrated LED light switches on and keeps flashing for 24 hours.

Waterbuoy is tiny, but can lift up to 1 kg of weight. That means anything like cameras, phones, GPS units stored in a dry bag attached to the Waterbuoy’s snap-on hook can have safe retrieval. On sale at water-buoy for GBP 12.99, Waterbuoy will be stocked in UK stores early in 2008.
