This smart cap will tell you if you’re sleepy... and change TV channels for you!

We didn’t think it was possible, but we have in fact developed a way to delegate vital bits of the cognitive process. Researchers from the National Chiao-Tung University, National Cheng-Kung University, and the University of California, San Diego, have developed a cap that can detect brain signals and tell you if you’re too sleepy to drive! Amazing as it may sound, but the brain-computer interface (BCI) system can be potentially used in developing technologies that will, in the future, allow you to control home electronics like TVs, computers, air conditioners, etc, by merely thinking about it! The technology is currently in the works, but even if there’s an iota of certainty about this system making it through to functional daily use technologies within a decade, we might just see the war for the remote control take on a whole new dimension!
