Telstra and Alcatel looks to eHealth
Ryan | May 5 2008

Telstra Experience Centre unveiled some wireless health monitoring devices and Alcatel included devices for measuring blood pressure and blood sugar levels, which automatically transmits their results over mobile phones. The future will have a lot more happening in terms of health care and wireless technology. Patients with high blood pressure can monitor their heart rate, blood, and transfer data to the doctor when they are not keeping well, all this and more by mobile phone networks using the wireless health moitoring system of phones. Remember a time, when you visited the hospital to see all those big look instruments all around you. Now look few years down the road, systems with cell phones and wireless technology that are so small that could help patients who cannot reach a doctor on time. With Bluetooth and wireless becoming more and more common these days, and wireless health care products coming at a much faster rate, we can all be safer. What better way to care for patients of all kinds by going wireless. A lot less trouble for doctors and sure a lot less high blood pressured people around. I welcome e-health.
