Sunneat: Solar way for everyday power supply
Jayaprashanth | Apr 12 2008

While solar energy isn’t anything new, here is a design concept from designer Edgar Guillen that makes solar energy look very new and refreshing. The Sunneat solar charger is a neat looking device that harnesses the solar energy through it’s twin nanocrystalline solar panels. The harnessed solar energy gets converted to electric power and goes straight into a lithium battery for storage. Now, the Sunneat becomes capable of dissipating it’s electric power for charging a myriad range of devices ranging from cell phones to MP3 players, not to mention it’s capability of firing up lights and other household electric appliances. The Sunneat can also harness energy from the warm earth and convert it into electricity. We think that a more-rugged form of this device will just be perfect for the countless villages in Asia and Sub Saharan Africa which do not have access to electricity distribution.
