
Sony likes surprises, which always brings bites from latest technology. The LCD market is now over crowed with enormous names and none of them seems tilting much in basic functionality. Sony, of course, doesn’t like chirping only, so attention was focused on multi touch technology for LCDs. With a few details Sony unveiled its new 3.5-inch LCD that incorporates optical sensing technology.
Low-temperature polysilicon thin-film transistor is the term used for technology behind 640 x 480 screen. It can recognize five fingers at a time along with pen input. We can’t say anything about the production, but can assure the scope of acceptance for this finger tempting idea.
