We expected it was coming and finally we have it from Sony. Sony has announced that a slimmer and cheaper version of the PlayStation 3 will be coming this September. The PS3 Slim being about 1/3 slimmer and 36% lighter than the now available console and priced at $299, about a $100 less, will include built-in Wi-Fi and Blu-ray player and Free PlayStation Network. The new and slim console will feature a 120GB hard drive, upgraded from 80GB, and will play both DVDs and CDs. For the PS3 fanatics who have no problems with the size, Sony has planned to drop the prices of the fatter version to about the same price of the slim version, so isn’t that enough excitement?
