When the Cedar Point will open its gates to kick off this year’s season on May6, it’ll greet all its guests with the introduction of world’s largest swing ride on Skyhawk. Skyhawk stands 103 feet above the ground and features two giant swinging arms, each 84 feet in length, with 20 seats on each arm.
The best part of this impeccable addition to the amusement park is the weightlessness experienced by the riders swinging 125 feet above in the air with a whopping speed of 60 mph.
John Hildebrandt, vice president and GM of Cedar Point says:
But mind, to enjoy the two minutes ride you must be 48 inches tall.Skyhawk will be the world’s largest swing ride. It’s a simple concept, but it will be an amazing ride experience. All of us have ridden swings as kids. Imagine riding a swing that is higher than a 12-story building and goes faster than many roller coasters.
