Simple-structured display uses resin sheet
Jaiyant Cavale | Oct 10 2008

Researchers at the University of Tohoku have launched a display that is manufactured with a special resin sheet and to which images can be projected from behind. It could also be used as a TV just by attaching the sheet to a glass or transparent plastic plate. The highlight of the display is that it is thin, and also the images can be seen clearly in a bright environment. The display can project ultra sharp 3D images as well.

Pricing and Availability: The display is not available on the markets yet and the price isn’t known.

Watch This:
The display measures 80 inches but has a thickness of only 20cm. Since the structure is so simple, it can be very thin, so we could see thinner TVs in the future.
