Sharp showcases its AQUOS BD-HP1 Blu-Ray recorder
Er. | Feb 15 2007

The BD-HP1 Blu-Ray recorder is the new thing round the block. It has a capability to playback Blu-Ray (single or dual layer) all along with DVD±R/RW and DVD-RAM discs, quite a different thing in its segment it is. Conversely unlike other Blu-Ray burners which are available in the market, the BD-HP1 wires only single sided discs for burning.

The BD-HP1 comes with a 7.1 channel analog output, HDMI output, D4 port as well as dual i-Link ports, all of them are features to be proud of. This Sharp AQUOS BD-HP1 measures 434×343×68mm and weighs not more than 4.4 kg. It will go on sale in Japan starting March 10 for approximately 150,000 Yen ($ 1240). Can’t wait to have one for my home.
