While techno-giants eye CES 2009 to be a major platform for their products’ launch, Sharp takes a step further in introducing its home theater products well ahead of the event. It launched the Aquos BD series of LCD TVs available in five variants ranging from 32 to 52 inches. These feature a side-loading multi-slot for Blu-ray, DVD, and CD. Advanced Super View (ASV) renders these models with crystal clear picture quality. Sharp also unveiled its D65U and D85U series. Both are Energy Star compliant, which that ensures low power consumption. 120-Hz Fine Motion Enhanced technology and full HD 1080p make them the most advanced LCD TVs on hand.
Two Blu-ray players having HD 1080p, HDMI 1.3 digital output with x.v. color and Ethernet ports for BD-Live support were also launched. Last in the lineup are the sound bars dubbed the HT-SB300 and HT-SB200. These feature DTS, Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro logic II decoder and a Dolby Virtual Speaker. Though these products are somewhat pricey, still finding the middle ground may cost you much more than projected.
