Seitz 6x17 Digital Flaunts Whooping 160Mpix ShootOut
Naveen | Sep 21 2006

Whoa! This is something beguiling. Well, I am not talking about the capability of the new Seitz 6×17 Digital to shoot at a whooping 160-megapixels but the thing that is surely going to woo the photography buffs is its ability to deliver a native high resolution 6 x 17-cm image in a fraction of second.

With a catchy ISO range of 500 to 10,000, soaring resolution of 300MB per second and a shutter speed of 1/20,000th second, the 6×17 Digital stores the massive content via gigabit Ethernet to State-of-the art computer system that transfers to a Mac Mini.

The powerful beast will be showcased at the Photokina 2006. The 6×17 Digital delivers startling image quality, thanks to its 48-bit color depth, low noise, high dynamic range, DALSA anti-blooming feature and Seitz image optimization algorithms.

To get this imaging power in your hands, you need to bank out 45,500 Swiss francs ($36,266) for the “mobile version” and 42,300 Swiss francs ($33,715) for the “studio version”. Hopefully, the Mac Mini is included for the price tag.
