Samsung has revealed its first mobile WiMAX enabled handheld device. Dubbed the Mondi, the Mobile Internet Device is also the first of its kind that the manufacturer visions to be used with Clearwire mobile services. Providing GPS navigation facility with Wi-Fi on a 4.3-inch screen, the device also flaunts a sliding full QWERTY keyboard and 3MP camera and camcorder. Though Mondi isn’t actually a phone, it has a microphone to function with internet telephony applications, supposedly. The device, which is slated to be available in the second quarter of the year, according to Samsung will be sold at Best Buy and Clearwire stores, but no pricing details are currently available. Potentially supporting a host of audio and video formats, the Mondi could come in handy for all the tweeting, digging and stumbling that have caught your blood flowing harder these days.
