Adding to the long list of assistive robots, French robotics and automation manufacturer RoboSoft took its opportunity to demo the RoboLAB10, an assistance robot for the elderly. Available in two assistive forms, one for physical assistance and the other specifically designed with special insights to aid elders with cognitive difficulties due to Alzheimer’s or other such disorders. Using RoboSoft’s robuBOX control applications as the operating software, the RoboLAB10 is developed with financial grants from the French National Research Agency and National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy, and was demonstrated at the recent World Congress on Geriatrics and Gerontology in Paris.
