
As you click on the video here, you’ll meet a small sic-legged robot RiSE that complies with its name and climbs vertical terrain such as walls, trees and fences. RiSE’s clawed feet are fixed with sticky material as to maintain the grip on any kind of surface. All six legs of RiSE are equipped with two electric motors and a variety of sensors to track the motion via an onboard computer.
There is fixed tail that helps it to maintain the balance and it also changes its postures just like a caterpillar. Though RiSE weighs 2 Kg but is just 0.25 m long and moves with a speed of 0.3 m/s.
