Ring°Wall: World’s largest multitouch wall for multiple users
Bharat | Nov 27 2009

Have you ever been to the village of Nürburg, Germany? No, then chances are, you aren’t aware of the Nurburgring race track built around the village. But in case you’re familiar, I’m still sure that you have no idea that the world’s largest/longest multitouch, multi-user wall is located at the race track. Now that you guys know it, you can thank us for saving you a trip to Germany :-) Jokes aside, the two-piece multitouch ring°wall from SENSORY-MINDS is done with a LED media facade on the top and a multitouch information-wall at the bottom. Measuring a mammoth 425 square meter in length, the wall’s interface emerges from 34 million pixels generated by 15 high-definition projectors, while the sound relies on its 30 direction speakers. The ring°wall uses Laser Light Plane Illumination to capture input generated by the user, and is good to let up to 80 people access information in one time. Video of the wall after the jump.
