Puget Systems’ $16K Custom PC is water-cooled powerhouse
Bharat | Mar 3 2009

In a recession hit globe, it is a rarity to find gutsy souls that can shell out thousands for a mere craze of a sort. Then modding does require compassion without thought – and that’s evident with this $16,000 worth custom made PC by Puget Systems. In modesty this mammoth rig touts 32GB of RAM along with eight hard drives of diverse configurations. The system here is water cooled, while the exterior features a massive radiator with nine fans of 120mm each, running on 5V power, keeping the system almost silent. The case mod draws power from four quad core Opteron processors, but it is huge enough to decide what the consumer prospect of it is, and how well it would work.
