Having come a pretty long way since inception, portable projectors still haven’t made a mark as impressive where they can be easily used as monitor replacements. But if manufacturers repeatedly do what Projectiondesign has done with the F35 projector, we could soon be nearing the day when we’d see projectors as common household inclusion as the monitors.
The newly unveiled F35 projector touts an all impressive 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution with image projection capability of up to 65 feet wide. To generate resolution this high, the Projectiondesign’s projector employs a Texas Instruments WQXGA DLP chip with brightness rated at 6500 lumens.
The high performance projector that weighs about 12.6kgs and measuring 376 x 510 x 223mm, projects at 8000:1 contrast ratio and also supports 1080i and 720p HD resolutions. Slated for a mid 2010 release, the F35 includes DVI-D, dual HDMI 1.3, dual VGA, and component for input.
