With technology growing by leaps and bounds everyday only a few companies are taking the environment into consideration while developing their new products.
This week Greenpeace released a list of companies according to the consideration the company has for our environment.
On the list Nokia has again gained the top position for a second time in a row and Apple was ranked last also for two consecutive times.
In the list Nokia was followed up by Dell, Fujitsu-Siemens followed by Motorola and Sony-Ericsson.
The Greenpeace Guide to Greener Electronics ranks the top Cell phone and PC manufacturers not only on the basis of the products released but also on how the products behave.
Greenpeace looks on everything that a company does to make the products eco friendly and also checks that whether the company is posting recycling information of its products on the its official web site and also on the products.
According to Greenpeace other companies like Acer and Lenovo have also promised to remove any hazardous chemicals from their products.
Despite all improvements done by the manufacturers none of the companies were able to score more than 7 out of 10 on the Greenpeace List. This leads to only one conclusion that we all have to make our products more and more environmental friendly if we have to make our earth a much better place to live in.
