Nintendo Wii faces fierce threat in the interactive CamSpace
Bharat | May 23 2009

Nintendo Wii has been a definition to interactive gaming. While Microsoft and Sony are still trying to get somewhere close to the interactive abilities of the Wii, mimicking it on to their consoles, we have Israel’s Cam-Trax bringing interactive gaming to anyone using a computer, in their CamSpace. Garnering its name from the mere usage of a webcam and free software to enhance the concept of interactive gaming, the CamSpace relies on the PC’s processor for its interactivity.

The users can simply download the CamSpace software (freely available), install it, and then interact with any game or activity on their PC via a webcam. The Software assisted by the interactive controllers, recognizes objects and participants based on the size, color and background scene, thereby providing the user a similar Wii like interactivity at a cheap price and with least fuss. So, let the remotes be bygones and enjoy interactive games on the PC with self made controllers.
