New breed of Interactive Mirrors being tested at Bloomingdales

Imagine if the mirrors could talk, then you might not need to go shopping with a group of friends. Apparently, Nanette Lepore and her department in the New York City Bloomingdales have implemented the much alike notion. They are using interactive projection mirrors.

The concept is straight forward. The new mirror in fact works as a high-resolution digital display which shows images of selected clothes on it. Simply, you don’t have to keep changing clothes again and again. Instead, select the outfit you like and stand in front of the mirror. The mirror will do the rest of the work by letting you know whether the combination suits you or not.

If you think, the story is over, you are mistaken. There is camera that will take a snap of yours and upload it online too so that your near and dear ones can evaluate your choice. If the system works well, they have plans to implement the same technology at other stores too.
