NASA readying rocket-powered UAV to map Martian skies
Bharat | Nov 25 2009

Seems NASA has tried it enough with its robotic exploration to Mars, yes and exaggerated statement, but what if I say, NASA after the robots is now hopping to ready a rocket powered UAV to photograph the red planet by hovering over its surface. Christened the ARES, the plane would fly up to Mars in an ordinary rocket. Because to fly on Mars a plane would need tremendous horsepower, the ARES will be done to perfection when it is completed. The plane will be designed to leave the carrier rocket when the latter reaches the fourth rock from the sun. when off the capsule, the rocket powered plane will hover over the Martian skies for a good one hour clicking pictures of about a 373 mile stretch.
