How complex this system seems, but it will be the futuristic cinema. This Multimedia digital dome theater features natural spatial sound. A cupola-shaped screen puts the viewers visually and acoustically in the core of the action. Films are shown with six projectors and virtually 100 speakers to create a bubble of dynamic sound.
The 3D audio technology enables the sound to follow the picture. This means a surround vision along with natural spatial sound to make the experience a real one. Here too PC will make possible the mingling of the pictures, to create a full image.
The first such experience has been brought by combining Fraunhofer FIRST’s digital dome projection system with Fraunhofer IDMT’s wave field synthesis technology IOSONO.
