Being deaf is a curse, or a blessing in disguise. Take it either way, but even the deaf wish to hear. Australians seem to have a better and faster way of expression and interpretation developed to aid the deaf. Dubbed the Multi-Media Response Service, it is a novel form of communication which uses webcams and video phones to relay interpreted messages to the user instantly — unlike the conventional text based forms of communication, which do not recognize emotions and are comparatively slow to exchange information. All that users have to do to access is sign into a computer webcam or video phone and access the sigh language interpreter, where after the interpreter replies the message is instantaneously relayed to a person hearing over the phone. The ACE have been working in developing the Multi-Media Response Service for over 10 years with the motive to enable the deaf to communicate faster, with more personal touch added to the communication. The service for communication will be available across the country beginning November 27.
I don’t know where you got the idea that ”the deaf wish to hear”, I certainly don’t. Thank god I’m Deaf!
