Picture above is no replica of trendy eye wear; it is a pair of 3D glasses. Wonder why you haven’t seen one? No worries even Tiger Woods missed it.
Mitsubishi is the “official large outdoor video display provider” of the Barclays PGA Tour event underway at the Westchester Country Club, where the company for the first time revealed the new 3D-imaging technology that they are developing asking a few journalists (excluding me though) to strap them on for the elegant feel.
3D movement is progressing steadily. While it still remains unripe, there are companies striving and slogging to redefine HD, improvising on the same, to get 3D right into our homes. Mitsubishi is one such, currently working on developing a Blu-ray player that outputs 3D images. The concept will certainly lead the world into 3D realism but as they say, not all comes merry; to enjoy the novel tech to its entirety, the viewer will have to wear one of these glasses.
To read about the high-profile staging of the technology become all the more interesting to me, after I realized Mitsubishi already has a Blu-ray player that is apt in converting current 2D movies into 3D in real time. The 3D images will come in real depth; your movie viewing is heading for a transition, and its time to switch from retro to contemporary with the 3D imaging from Mitsubishi making its way-out early next year.
