Mechanical Fingers by Nik Ramage, handful of rhythms
Bharat | Sep 21 2009

Attractively done mechanics can be spooky at times and exciting otherwise. Now, this freakin’ mechanical hand which is a copy of artist Nik Ramage’s own hand has a faulty balance that can take it across the thin line just anytime and with just anybody. Dubbed the Fingers this Nik Ramage’s creation is made to drum rhythmically on a simple flick of a switch, and the poor thing, with no idea as to why it has to do this, keeps up the same pace tirelessly until it is actually switched off. The mechanical hand will be shown at the 100% Design in London this week by kinetic brand Laikingland as part of London Design Festival ‘09.
