Rugged is the new jacket for the gadgetry today. And when the military is a purpose, there isn’t a way out without a sturdy makeover, a reason we have MicroVision announcing a high-performance, rugged military video workstation. The MaxPac SVW, as it is called, has been unveiled at the NAB military summit, and is a unit drawing power from Intel’s core i7 CPU, stuffs 6GB of DDR3 internal memory and two removable 3.5-inch hard drives making 3TB of total storage.

The workstation is a high-resolution dual LCD integration, supporting SD and HD encoding card, besides an in-the-field functionality which enables video encoding and streaming in the extreme environmental conditions. The dust and weather proof system is compatible with all types of infrared, night vision and high-definition cameras, to stream real time videos required so dearly for military needs.
