Mathew Sheil's Ultimate Flight Simulator: Brushing reality!
Vikas Shekhawat | Sep 3 2006

Mathew Sheil kicked off his dream - the 747-400 Virtual Flightdeck Project, in 1998 and it’s still struggling to kiss reality, apparently, he’s striving too far, however, this is what we’re here for - digging the unknown - so tighten your belts inside the cockpit for the voyage on virtual wings that might not take you anywhere; at least thinking while still glued to the soil.

Anyway, the homemade flight simulator, if you don’t know what it is check it out here, took nine long years to take 13ft wide x 11ft long and 9ft high shape. Mathew is trying to incorporate every switch and panel in the 747-400 and will perhaps accept full motion and visuals too to drive you crazy.

On his site Mathew has published detailed diary of his project with awesome pictures, covering the whole project in its full colors, don’t miss the show, who knows you might want to try your hands on it.

Hats off to: Mathew Sheil
