Lockface USB drive uses face recognition for security
Bharat | Dec 17 2009

Biometric security gets a face-lift with Futen’s Lockface program. In case your data is highly confidential (and that by no standard means porn) and your fingerprints are being forged, then here’s a USB drive that sticks into any USB port and works only when it recognizes your face. The Lockface takes a few pictures of the owner with a webcam and then uses them to verify his identity each time the user logs on. No separate software is needed to install, and the Lockface is almost 98% accurate in identification. If the facial exercise is too cumbersome, then you could use a passcode. Presently it is available only in the Japanese market at $110 for a 4GB version. Waiting abroad? Well, we have no idea when it could reach you.
