Linux based UMPC launched by Pepper Computers

Pepper computers has introduced a new member in its UMPC category .

Its Pepper pad 3 a Linux based hand held PC, is the first product created in the partnership between HanBit Electronics and Pepper Computer. The sleek new Pepper Pad 3 includes all of the award-winning features of the original Pepper Pad.

It weighs around 2 pounds and has a 7-inch WVGA TFT LCD screen with the resolution of 800x 480. Sporting an AMD Geode processor and a 20 GB hard disk it has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and a full QWERTY keyboard. This means you can download music, videos and photos and carry them around the house or even outside with no requirment of PC.

This latest pad is infrared and has UPnP (Universal plug and play) capabilities through which the consumers can control their PC, TV and stereo systems.

The company has mentioned no exact availability date but sources say the pricing can be around $700.
