LG jumping into cheap-UMPC segment
Nishant | Jul 24 2008

Over and over, time and again, I have to mention that ever since OLPC kicked off, it’s been raining affordable UMPCs and now LG too has decided to get the taste of the cheap-UMPC market that is getting better with each passing day. Though Asus Eee PC still rules this segment but new products like Acer’s Aspire One are looking good as well. It’s reported in a German site that LG is going to role out a UMPC by the name of X110. Little is known about this mystery machine but it’s said to be a 9-incher with Intel Atom processor, 120GB HDD and 2GB of memory. Release is said to be scheduled for coming October, possibly there will be two launches, one with HSDPA and other one without it. $788 is what HSDPA equipped mystery book will be available for, other one is supposed to be priced at $630.
