KiteShip develops Very Large Free Flying Sails (VLFFS), control systems, technology and techniques to control the freighters, pleasure and racing yachts, commercial vessel builds and aerospace applications.
KiteShip, touting itself as a “group of forward-thinking sailors, designers and visionaries’, has built tethered wing powered speedsailing yachts and has plans to explore the surface of the Mars.
If we look at the recent fuel cost increases, the commercial shipping industry will certainly will look forward to sail power as a support to petroleum powered vessels.
