Kettering University Student Goes 'Ballistic': Builds Half-scale Tiger Tank
Alpheus | Apr 4 2008

How do you make all the boys in your college go ‘green’? Na, I’m not talking about turning environment-friendly. Wouldn’t it be a great idea to create a battle tank and grab all the attention? Well, that’s exactly what Will Foster from The Kettering University in Flint, Michigan has managed to conceive, albeit on a smaller scale. A half-scale diesel-powered Tiger tank certainly is the cynosure of all eyes if you drive it anywhere but a battlefield, especially when it fires paint ball rounds instead of fire shells. The only worry for Will would be parking the mini-monster inside the college. That’s a small price to pay, though, if you stand a chance of winning an award for innovation, don’t you think?
