Kenwood offers OLED lights that double as stereo speakers

Devices which do more than a single task are worth fanaticizing. Kenwood, a long player in the speaker industry, has gone further to create this OLED light source to do what the company is best known for – deliver audio. The Japanese audio maker has unveiled the ideally energy-saving ultra-thin OLED lights in a sublime combination of stereo speakers.

The energy-efficient speaker system is a novel introduction and Japan’s Yamagata University professor Junji Kido should be hailed for developing this mishmash with green intentions and extraordinary purpose. What’s the sound quality of this innovative lamp is perhaps what we couldn’t hunt up, but what we could find is the fact that the ultra-thin lighting system can be used to display evacuation signs and function as a loudspeaker in case of emergency.
