Intel unleashes Classmate PC tablet netbook at CES

Addressing the needs of elementary schools, Intel is out there with its new classmate PC at CES that will offer more natural as well as a spontaneous classroom environment to students across the world. Presenting the 180-degree swivel design, rotational camera and touchscreen, the new PC flaunts a flexible design, based on the Intel Atom processor, turning the tablet mode into a clamshell within no time. The Classmate PC also features a 60GB, 4200-RPM Samsung hard drive and comes with a 1024×600 resolution and battery life of 3.3 hours for the four-cell battery and 5 hours for the six-cell. Moreover, the convertible Classmate is very compact and just weighs 2.8 lbs.
