We are more or less familiar about Microsoft’s Surface touchscreen display system, which is based on multi-touch applications. The researchers at the National Taiwan University (NTU) have brought a new concept to the digital displays world by launching a dual-resolution touch screen system, i-m-Top.
As the name suggest, i-m-Top is a tabletop dual-resolution touch screen system, which can make a top of a desk a well furnished 120×80cm touchscreen display. It uses infrared sensors to recognize the movement of the user’s hands to make the projections more interactive and appealing. It comes with two rear projectors, one for blanket coverage of the entire tabletop, and the other for high-resolution detail.
The dual-resolution touchscreen gadget will be highly useful for the professional workshops and high-level executive presentations. Its price is something around $3,083.75. It will be available in the next six months.
