At CES, HP debuted the dx9000 TouchSmart Business PC, the first PC of its kind. Aimed at business users, the PC allows for better end-user communication, allowing the customers to get in touch with vendors and each other by means of touch or social networking. HP has teamed up with software companies to develop touch applications, and it already has some clients testing out the new PC.
The PC with a 22-inch LCD screen runs on Vista Business 64 OS, powered by a Core 2 Duo processor with 4 gigs of Ram, a 320GB hard disk and a Virtual LAN driver. Tilting a little toward the green side, the PC uses 55% less metal, and 37% less plastic as compared to conventional PCs. Though the touch surface takes care of most of the needs, the PC does have a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse for additional tasks. It will retail for $1399 once it reaches the market in February.

I would love this except it suffers from the same problem as all other touch-screens… how the heck do you keep them clean and for graphical work, your finger from twitching all over the place. I can’t even keep my laptop monitor clean and I never touch that!
