HP IQ770: The first desktop touch screen Vista PC unveiled
Anupam | Dec 1 2006

I earlier told you that Dell and Microsoft have teamed up to develop a special edition Vista PC. But the companies did not plan to sell it that was a bad news as the system looked outstanding.

Don’t worry now there is an even better system that waits to be bought. The system is named HP IQ770 ‘Crossfire’.

The system is a special edition desktop Vista PC that has a touch screen interface with a bold new design that looks impressive to me.

The system is the first mass market touch screen desktop PC and will be released along side Vista on January 30. The system features a 19-inch touch screen and some much better hardware.

The hardware specifications of the system are:

- AMD Turion 64×2 Dual Core TL-52 processor
- 2GB SDRAM
- 320GB HD
- NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- Integrated FM and ATSC HDTV tuners
- DVD RW/DVD-Ram burner
- Pocket Media Drive Bay,
- Wireless Keyboard
- Mouse
- Stylus
- Media Card Reader
- Two FireWire ports, along with six USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet
- 5.1 digital audio out
- FM Coax, TV Coax, ATSC and two s-video
The thing that impresses me most is the unique design of the PC and other latest advancements like a built in camera and Wi-Fi is just like some added cheese topping on a good looking Pizza.

This system also includes a printer at the base that looks to me like a Polaroid for the PC. With such great specifications the system will be priced at $1,799 to $1,899. I will let you know some more details ASAP so stay tuned.
