In an effort to strengthen its grip over the digital imaging market, Hewlett-Packard has introduced new HP Photosmart Studio and HP Photosmart Express systems, that offer self-service photo kiosks and consoles to retailers with the help of which users can print pictures and create books and calendars with their favorite photos within no time.
It’ll take just 10 minutes to create a picture album, card, calendar or poster with the help of the Photosmart Studio console, which is worth $50,000 a unit. Whereas, the HP Photosmart Express kiosk, that costs $15,000 a unit, takes just 5 minutes to print snapshots. With this HP has triggered the fight with the rivals Eastman Kodak and Fuji Photo Film.
