HOWTO: Build a hard drive clock
Vikas Shekhawat | Apr 26 2006

Apparently, the Hour Glass Clock or any of those annoying alarm clocks won’t satisfy the tech geeks like you and me. So, how to quench the endless thirst for something innovative and of course jazzy? Perhaps, Alan Parekh has the solution.

At hacked gadgets, Alan has top rated hard drive DIY projects, today we’ve picked up the groovy Hard Drive Clock. The original hard drive clock devised by Alan displayed time with the help of red and blue LEDs that projected three colors representing the clock hands and somehow managed to time the flashing of the LEDs with the help of a few electronics.

We’d like you to follow the refurbished version of the project with LCD touch screen controller designed by Jason Amsel and Konstantin Klitenik to get the desired effect.

Thanks: Alan Parekh, Jason Amsel, Konstantin Klitenik
