Homemade submarine from an inventor in China
Bharat | Sep 4 2009

Having seen a plethora of personal submarines, this one featured here may only seem as sewer outlet off a dirty little canal. But guys, there is a lot more to this than just what you see. This is a small homemade submarine resurrected by a 34 year-old Chinese inventor Tao Xiangli. A fully-functional submarine, this is fitted with a ‘periscope, depth control tanks, electric motors, manometer, and two propellers from old oil barrels.’ Done in two year for a cost of about 30,000 Yuan ($4,385), Tao tested the sub in a lake on the outskirts of Beijing, yesterday. Great work dude, you deserve some applause for this.
