
Hitachi in order to tap the education market has developed new electronic blackboards. The new and altered versions of the transformed PX-DUO-50 electronic blackboards will be resurrected in each of the elementary and junior high schools in Japan. Costing about ¥700,000, the electronic blackboards are built-in with a PC and coordinate detection device which uses two infrared cameras, with lens having a field angle of 170°.
Measuring 50-inches, the blackboards support character input and character recognition and come with terrestrial digital TV tuner stuffed. School education will definitely get a high-tech boast with the introduction of these electronic blackboards.
