Hear snakes and marbles rain with virtual reality Funbrella

We are bonkers for virtual reality, but to this extent? I never thought being in the vicinity of an umbrella could be so intriguing for some students that they’ll build an entire umbrella-type-device to lure us into carrying one to experience rain on a clear sunny day. I for one don’t enjoy the rain much, therefore, carrying an umbrella is such disgust, but for others unlike me, students from Osaka University have devised the Funbrella, a device to make the depressing rain fun.

The Funbrella is a virtual rain making device which makes you feel a variety of rain even within a building with the technology generating accurate vibrations. Now then, gear up to get caught in a hailstorm on a sunny day, or a shower of marbles, or even a downpour of snakes and hamburgers – or in case you wanted you girl to enjoy the same, ask her to open here Funbrella and hear her jive over the phone. Check the video below to know more on the working mechanism.
