Google to launch smartphones that’ll translate caller’s language
Bharat | Feb 8 2010

Interpreting different languages can be difficult for everyone, but it’s a major issue with frequent overseas travelers and those who converse with foreign clients. Though there are a few handy alternatives for language translation available out there, Google wishes to make a mark in the sector with smartphone translator software that’ll instantly convert spoken words from one language to another language during a phone call.

After being best service providers when it comes to text translation, speech-to-speech translation is possible with ‘high-accuracy machine translation and high-accuracy voice recognition’ only, and this is what Google’s being working on to make the difference. The developers believe customer’s phone would adapt to the user by ‘learning’ their style of talking and thus help them by translating in real time.
